Amazon faces backlash over concentration camp ornaments

After a tweet Sunday from the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial called on Amazon to remove items that used images of Auschwitz as Christmas ornaments and even a bottle opener, the e-commerce giant leaped to remove the items.

Although the products weren’t created by Amazon, it was still Amazon that faced the backlash as the post was shared thousands of times across Twitter with angry replies and questions looking into how Amazon vets the products it sells through its online marketplace.

By Sunday night, Amazon appeared to have removed all of the ornaments.
