Give us a little bit of background about yourself!
I’ve recently graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing. I chose to study marketing because I’ve always been fascinated by how companies and brands motivate consumers. During my time at Penn State, I was the Philanthropy Chair for my fraternity where I helped raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Four Diamonds Fund with Penn State THON. In my free time, I love to spend it outside running, hiking, and snowboarding.
Describe yourself in three words.
Driven, reliable and thoughtful
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
When I was growing up I wanted to be a CEO in Silicon Valley, after being inspired by Steve Jobs and watching The Social Network. While I may lack the technical know-how of Zuckerberg and Jobs, I still aspire to be a leader and innovator to make the world a better place.
What’s something few people know about you, but you wish they did?
Few people know how much I enjoy the countryside, even though I plan to live in the city. I grew up hunting and fishing, and I raised chickens, turkeys, and ducks! I still try to stay in touch with homestead values that require me to be self-sufficient and resilient.
If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self to not compare yourself to others. Everyone is on their own journey and goes at their own pace. Stay focused on what your idea of success is, and keep moving forward!
