Get to know Brandon, D+P Fall Intern

At any given time, there are a handful of motivated college students in the D+P internship program. We recently connected with Brandon Trush, one of our fall interns, for a quick Q&A session. Read on below to learn more about Brandon!

Give us a little background about yourself!

I’m currently in my final semester at Temple University, pursuing a BA in English. I was born and raised in Fishtown here in Philly, and I’m a huge fan of the local delicacies and Gritty. In my free time, I love playing video games, writing, listening to Taylor Swift and going running.

Describe yourself in three words.

Perceptive, gregarious, tenacious

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

My very ambitious original goals were to become a famous artist, author or chef (or all of the above!). I’ve always loved exploring the creative outlets that I’m interested in.

What’s something few people know about you, but you wish they did?

I love to travel! I really enjoy exploring new places and being able to share my stories and photos from the trips that I go on.

If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?

Don’t get too caught up in planning things—just start doing things. In retrospect, I feel like I was always planning for tomorrow when I was younger that I would miss out on opportunities that were already right in front of me. Taking leaps of faith is so important, especially when you’re younger!
