At any given time, there are a handful of motivated college students in the D+P internship program. We recently connected with Cheyenne Parks, one of our summer interns, for a quick Q&A session. Read on below to learn more about Cheyenne!
Give us a little bit of background about yourself!
I am a rising senior at Temple University majoring in theater, with a concentration in acting and a minor in public relations. When I’m not doing school work you can find me singing in Temple’s cabaret club, Broadway On Broad, or talking way too much on WHIP Radio. I also love to watch The Great British Baking Show in my free time!
Describe yourself in three words.
Creative, determined and kind
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I wanted to be a basketball player because Space Jam was my favorite movie of all time. Unfortunately, I have zero athletic ability, and I just wanted to play on the Tune Squad. I dropped that dream for the best.
What’s something few people knew about you, but you wish they did?
I absolutely love to read fantasy novels! I wish more people knew that so we could talk about our favorite characters and series.
If you could give a piece of advice to your high school/younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my high school/younger self to enjoy the present instead of rushing into the next thing. I used to always jump immediately to the next project instead of enjoying the great things I already accomplished.
